Emergency Closings/Delayed Openings

School closings or delayed openings will be made via radio station (WHUD 100.7 FM). You may begin listening for this information at 5:30 AM. You may call the school emergency notification line
(845-492-4285). A delayed opening will delay your child’s bus schedule for approximately the amount of time announced. Please use your best judgment when considering the safety of your child and the possible traveling hazards such as severe ice or snow that may cause dangerous conditions on the neighboring streets. It is the responsibility of each parent/guardian to listen to the announcement on WHUD regarding early dismissals or contact individual bus districts. Very often buses just show up at the school during inclement weather and we must dismiss the students. We will be unable to provide individual notification to parents regarding early dismissal. You may however call the school and we will make you aware of any information that is available to us. You are always welcome to come and pick up your child early during inclement weather. In the event of a 2 hour delayed opening, Pre-K 3 will be cancelled. Pre-K 4 will be in session and begin at 10:15 AM. All Pre-K 4 students will be permitted to stay for the extended day – that day.

Crisis Plan

Should a crisis require evacuation from Sacred Heart School building, students will be brought to a safe place located at Sacred Heart Church or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 21 Still Road, Monroe, NY and parents can meet them there.
