Parish Outreach Committee

The goal of the committee is to promote greater involvement of the whole parish in our charitable works. The committee is comprised of a coordinator who is assisted by a team of parishioners. The committee coordinates any and all of the outreach activities that take place in the parish. (food drives, visits to nursing homes, fundraising, etc.).

Our Father’s Kitchen

Sacred Heart Parish Outreach opened Our Father’s Kitchen on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 in response to the declining economic conditions and the increasing unemployment. Our Father’s Kitchen welcomes all, regardless of color or creed and is open every Wednesday from 5 pm to 7 pm and every other Saturday from 12 noon to 2 pm. Takeout is available for those who are homebound and drivers are available to provide transportation to and from the kitchen for those who do not drive.

The mission of Our Father’s Kitchen is threefold:

Provide nutritious meals to those who hunger
Provide referral information to those in need
Provide an outlet for socialization to the lonely and disenfranchised

The Kitchen is dependent on the donations of businesses and individuals in our area to assist us in our goal to ending hunger. It is only through this local generosity that our program is successful!
